How to make DIY glass pebble pendant lights

DIY pro Allison Murray of Dream A Little Bigger spreads the "creative bug" with her fun and useful DIY projects. In fact, she loves crafts so much that she typically devotes an entire day ("normally Sunday") to her various projects. She also adds, "There is nothing more satisfying and productive than a life spent creating!"
One particularly eye-catching craft is Allison's DIY glass pebble pendant light, made out of a wine bottle. It not only fills every room with radiant light, but it also just looks really darn pretty (and offers a great solution to repurposing and recycling empty wine bottles).

To make Allison's wine bottle glass pendant light, you need wine bottles, light socket kits, Liquid Fusion, wood dowel, and glass pebbles.
First, cut the wine bottles (Allison suggests several methods ranging from using a glass cutter and butane torch to using nail polish remover and string.)
Then, sand the bottle and place a small dollop of Liquid Fusion near the rim of the bottle and begin adhering the glass pebbles, holding them in place until the glue dries. Continue this process until the bottle is covered in fabulous, shining gems.
Once your bottles have dried for 24- 28 hours, it's time to connect the light kit.
For specific instructions on how to install the battery-powered light, you can reference Allison's full DIY here.
However, this is just one way to create beautiful wine bottle pendant lamps. The DIY Network has a version that cuts the bottles in half, creating a more lamp-like feel, as opposed to maintaining the wine bottle shape. Dark wire gives these lamps a contemporary feel.
