Grab 2 cheap Dollar store tubs. Add this easy DIY touch to make them look way more expensive

If you are planning a picnic, family BBQ, or any other outdoor event this Summer, you have got to check out this simple project for creating sleek, shiny containers that are perfect for keeping your drinks ice cold. With this easy project, you will transform a cheap, plastic tub (available at dollar or discount stores) into an eye-catching and useful accessory perfect for your event.
We love this simple, silver look, but the options here are limitless. The metallic spray paint used can be replaced with any color of your choice. If you're feeling extra artistic, you can even adorn the tubs with your own designs and change up the style for different occasions.

Materials
1. Plastic Tubs
2. Spray paint
3. Cardboard
Directions
1. Lay out some cardboard
The first step is laying out some pieces of cardboard so that your workspace stays clean and splatter free. Since you are using spray paint and not a paint brush, this can get a little messy.
2. Spray an even coat of paint on your tubs
Place the tubs on the cardboard and begin to spray an even coat of paint on both the inside and outside of the tubs. The paint used here is called Super Silver and gives the tub a shiny, metallic finish that will both catch and fool the eye.
3. Fill tubs with ice
While you are waiting for your paint to dry you can begin to set up your picnic table or the area you plan on setting up your homemade coolers. Once the paint has dried, simply pour in the desired amount of ice.
4. Add your favorite beverages
And just like that, we have the finished product! Add your favorite beverages or snacks you would like to keep cool and you're ready to start the party.
Don't forget to share this fun and easy project with your friends on Facebook and Pinterest!
