Unlock the potential of your old wine bottles by giving them a new lease on life as captivating home decor pieces. Rather than simply tossing them aside, embark on a creative journey to upcycle these empty vessels into stunning displays that will not only beautify your living space but also serve as timeless art pieces, preserving the memories of past celebrations or poignant moments.
With this project, you'll breathe fresh life into these wine bottles, transforming them into unique works of art that you can cherish for years to come. Whether it's the joy of a celebration or the reflection of heartache, these repurposed bottles will hold these emotions and stories within, becoming more than mere containers.

Plate and/or pan
1. Pour salt onto a plate or pan. Coat your bottle with a layer of Mod Podge. Work quickly, and make sure the neck and body of the bottle are covered.
2. Roll your bottle into the salt until all of the glue is covered.
Tip: Use the base of the bottle and inside the neck as handholds so you don't accidentally pull the salt off with your hands.
3. Repeat the same process with the pinecones. Allow your project to dry overnight. Display the finished work on a pretty tray.
You can add a pop of color with a few flowers in the bottle, or decorate with snowy pine cones or other ornaments.
Below we showcase some different version of this project that we've made!
This project is a fun way to upcycle old materials and decorate a home on a budget. Play around with different-colored sands, bottle shapes and sizes.
They also make for a great dining room table centerpiece, as seen below.
